Learning the Ropes:

You may be surprised to hear, that in many online learning sessions, people are not always familiar with the layout of Zoom controls.  Knowing where to find and how to navigate the different options available will ensure that you always have a great online learning experience.  I know that after you watch the YouTube video, you’ll have a much better sense of the navigation and how to use your new online learning platform. You can do this!

If you already know your way around ZOOM this may be a good refresher, an opportunity to see what’s new, or it’s a great video to share with someone else, so you can connect online!

How To ZOOM:

  • Navigate the controls
  • Find options to change your background, name and picture
  • Test your audio
  • Chat & other engagement opportunities
  • Raise your hand to ask a question and so much more…

In addition, facilitators, it’s important that we don’t assume that everyone has been on ZOOM already. Some people know Microsoft Teams really well, some people have used WebEx for Adobe often. I have met a lot of people recently that have used ZOOM for the first time, in 2021. Starting with a navigation of the platform is important, to ensure that everyone feels comfortable to participate. Please share these videos and tools before your next online workshops.
